2 – 7 January 2027
January at Mandali is a sacred pause – a month devoted entirely to silence, as an offering to the new year. Before the noise of plans and resolutions takes hold, we invite you to begin differently: from stillness.
The Silent Mandali Experience is a rare opportunity to step out of the constant current of daily life and return to something quieter, and truer. Held in the gentle embrace of our mountain surroundings, this programme is guided by our warm and experienced team of teachers — here not to fill your time, but to support you in discovering your own natural rhythm, and the quiet joy of simply being.e.

Throughout the retreat, social silence is observed at all meals and between classes. Teachers speak during classes, and both teachers and staff are always on hand should you need to communicate or require assistance. Some group sessions include space for Q&A, and the first and last meals of the retreat are shared without silence — a soft opening and closing to your time with us.
Lovingly curated for everyone, the programme offers:
Qigong is offered only when explicitly stated on the schedule, which is shared on arrival.
On arrival, you’ll be welcomed as a group: an opportunity to meet fellow participants and teachers, orient yourself to the programme, and settle into the rhythm of Mandali. From there, this time is yours to shape. The daily schedule offers a gentle structure, but how you move within it is entirely up to you.
Rise early for morning practice, or linger over a quiet breakfast as the lake catches the winter light. Sink into the warmth of the sauna, walk the trails through our grounds, meditate on your veranda, or simply rest. January at Mandali is an invitation to begin the year not by doing more, but by listening more closely.
The first day of the Mandali experience starts at 3 PM, with check-in at 2 PM. Please check the FAQ page for more practical information about the Mandali Experience.
This retreat will be held in English.

I wish I’d spent more than 3 days there and truly hope to go back in the future. The rooms were very comfortable, the teachers were lovely, the food was delicious - I have absolutely no complaints and can’t say enough good things. Mandali was well worth the trip!
“I came to Mandali to learn to be in the present moment. In the end, not only did I find what I was looking for, but I also happened to have discovered Self Love, and found my Inner Trust.”
“I recommend this experience to anyone looking to slow down, reconnect in beautiful surroundings filled with attention to detail, and to give oneself the sweetest gift of self-care.”
“Being at Mandali allowed me to calm down and quiet my thinking mind. The calmness allowed me to realise how grateful I am about everything in my life.”
“Mandali felt like coming home and it made me open up so much and learn more about myself and others around me. Thank you so much for opening this part of me.”
“I came to Mandali to reconnect and maybe even find myself again. During my stay, I learned that silence is very treasurable, and with it, I could finally hear what my inner voice was saying.”
“Your generosity, your kindness and your warm smiles are the cherries on the cake. Being here means living life to the fullest in every single moment. You can let go of layers, and find such a peaceful side of yourself. Go silent, sit still, let it move you and take that ride.”
